ARMIDALE FOLK MUSEUM
Museum exploring the history of New England, with over 4,000 objects and permanent exhibits.
Established in 1933 and housed in the former Armidale Literary Institute building, this museum explores the history of New England. More than 4,000 objects, mostly donated by local residents, are displayed in the four main galleries. Permanent exhibits provide an overview of how the region was settled in the 1840s and how it has developed to the present day. There is also a fine collection of gems and minerals, which was the first to be housed in this museum.
