This museum dedicated to killer whales was created to retrace the early years of whaling in the 1840s

A museum dedicated to the Killers Whales, which are the orcas (or killer whales) that cooperated for a long time with the whalers in their whale hunt. This 80+ year old museum was created to trace the early years of whaling in the 1840s. Organized into three distinct groups, the orcas would have been about 50 Killers Whales . The most famous of them, Old Tom, haunted the waters of Eden until 1930. He was 6.70 m long and weighed about 6 tons. The museum has kept the skeleton.
