From this platform established as an observation point, you will have a superb view of the gaping hole of the Peak gold mine still in operation, some 150 meters below your feet.
Rising 300 meters above sea level, it offers the visitor a magnificent view of the Cobar landscape. To get to Fort Bourke Hill, leave Kidman Way, two kilometers south of Cobar. Walk up the left side of the water tanks to the radio towers for one of the best views of Cobar, especially at sunset.
