A huge glass and steel structure suspended more than 1,200 m above the bottom of a canyon near the Colorado River
Opened in March 2007, the Skywalk was inaugurated by Buzz Aldrin, one of the astronauts who participated in the conquest of the moon. This huge glass and steel structure is suspended more than 1,200 m above the bottom of a canyon near the Colorado River. Shaped like a horseshoe, the platform is 22 m high, weighs 500 t and is capable of withstanding winds of over 100 km/h. Far from being a must-see - and particularly expensive - the site is intended for travelers who have time and a significant budget.
