Park 75 km east of Alice Springs, famous for its steep quartz cliffs and resinous eucalyptus.

Emily and Jessie Gaps Nature Park, ten miles east of Alice Springs. One of the spiritual sites of the Arrernte Aborigines which presents many paintings.

Trephina Gorge Nature Park, 75 km east of Alice Springs. Famous for its steep quartz cliffs and resinous eucalyptus trees. Several hiking trails are available around the two gorges. The shortest path leads to the edge of the gorges while the longest leads to John Hayes Rockhole's natural swimming pool.

John Hayes Rockhole, waterfalls at three different heights, steep rocks and incredible fauna and flora. Route within the park accessible by 4x4. Camping authorized.

N'Dhala Gorge Nature Park, 90 km east of Alice Springs. These gorges contain more than 6,000 petroglyphs as well as very rare paintings and plants. Accessible only by 4x4 vehicle.

Arltunga Historical Reserve, 113 km east of Alice Springs. The oldest ghost town in central Australia. It was one of the highlights of the 1887 gold rush. The reserve's information centre explains the history of the region and the lifestyle of the miners. You can even try gold mining (open every day from 8am to 5pm) and several hikes.

MacDonnell Range Reef Mine. In Artlunga. 1 km of walking that will take you through the history of an old gold mine. You can go down a ladder there. Don't forget to bring a flashlight!

Great Western Mine. In Artlunga and MacDonnell Range Reef Mine. 600 m walk to the second most productive mine in the region.

Ruby Gap Nature Park. About 100 miles east of Alice Springs. The first site of the gold rush in 1886. Difficult access and only by 4x4 vehicle. Notify us of your presence at 1300 650 730.
