This spectacular spot in the East MacDonnell Ranges is an important spiritual site for the Arrernte people.

The two gaps are spectacular and worth a look. They make you feel small. They are also important spiritual sites for the Arrernte people. They are very involved in tourism development, having produced an app that allows you to take a virtual tour of Anthwerrke/Emily Gap, and developed the fantastic Yeperenye trail linking Emily to Jessie Gap, opening in 2021. The 14km round trip trail is by foot or mountain bike (so 7km if you can arrange a transfer!). Bring good shoes.
