TREPHINA GORGE
A park renowned for its steep quartz cliffs and eucalyptus trees, home to two gorges: Trephina and the John Hayes Rockhole.
The park is home to two gorges: Trephina and John Hayes Rockhole, connected by a 4-5 hour one-way hike. Known for its steep quartz cliffs and eucalyptus trees, the area is often quieter but no less impressive than its West Macs neighbors. The two trails around Trephina allow you to see the gorge from all angles. Direct access by 4x4 to John Hayes, which with its waterfalls at three different heights and the possibility of swimming, is a must-see, if there is water (ask the tourist office beforehand)
