Visit a beautiful canyon to discover the cultural significance of the area and learn about its flora and fauna.
A canyon well worth the price of admission, it's even more beautiful at midday when the cliff faces reflect a fiery red color thanks to the sun's brightness. You can spend half a day with an Arrernte guide, who will give you an idea of the cultural importance of the place (called Angkerle Atwatye) as well as information on its flora and fauna, including medicinal and edible plants. The tour is followed by a demonstration of dot painting, the Red Centre's dominant painting style (AU$ 140 with lunch).
