Art center where you can admire artists who paint on canvas using a traditional pointillist technique.
In the middle of the aboriginal community of Ikuntji, also called Haasts Bluff, 45 artists paint on canvas, mostly with the traditional pointillism technique and produce beautifully designed textiles at Inkuntji Artists, an art center owned by the community. A great detour for those who want to see these artists in action! Next door, a 20m high (Christian) cross was installed in 2023. Outside the tourist circuits, you need a 4X4 (60 km of track) and a permit which can be obtained from the Central Land Council.
