The present cave was formed by the dissolution of limestone. The excavation was created when the top of the chamber collapsed. In 1886, James Umpherston, the owner, created a large and remarkable garden below. It is green and full of plants and flowers. It is quite small, but still a very pleasant place to spend the day. Many opossums have found refuge here. Picnic and barbecue area.
