A brotherhood dedicated to the Burgundy truffle, which organizes an annual Truffle Festival in Is-sur-Tille in mid-October.
An emblematic product of the region, the Burgundy truffle even has its own Confrérie. It was created in 1994 by nine enthusiasts of the queen of the mushroom family, a product with subtle exhalations. On request, the members will be delighted to show you all about truffles, from their history to the 1,001 ways of cooking them to bring out their full flavour.
In partnership with the Office de tourisme des vallées de la Tille et l'Ignon, the Confrérie offers half-day truffle discovery tours with truffle dogs on selected Saturdays in autumn. On the program: truffle presentation, truffle farm tour, truffle hunting demonstration, culinary advice and truffle product tasting with a glass of wine.

Every year in mid-October, the Is-sur-Tille Truffle Festival is an event not to be missed. On site, discover a fresh truffle market, accompanied by an organic market and local produce. It's also an opportunity to answer questions from the public and raise awareness of the work of truffle dogs. At the Confrérie stand, you can enjoy sausages and truffle sandwiches. Not to be missed: the giant truffle omelette, cooked by the Confrérie, which holds the secret, will be available for tasting from 12pm to 2pm. During the meal, you'll witness the induction of new members wishing to join the Confrérie.
