REFORMED CHURCH (REFORMATUS TEMPLOM)
Set on a turf mound, this magnificent Gothic church, originally a church of Catholic faith, was built in the 1480 s at István Báthory's initiative. The original church bench is located at the Budapest National Museum. At the bottom of the Gothic nave, which can admire the beautiful veined vault, lies the tomb of István Báthory. When the church was consecrated to the reformed cult, at the end of the th century, it was next to her that an imposing wooden bell tower was raised metres high with four pinnacles contrasting with the simplicity of the building (during the Counter-Reformation, only Catholic churches were allowed to have stone spires).
