This museum of mining history has many spaces dedicated to the exploitation of mines in the south of the peninsula. It reveals the secrets of the Ruta de la Plata in New Spain, in addition to its geology and socio-economic development. The exhibition is modern and interactive; videos and other multimedia materials are available in Spanish and English. There is also a lovely Victorian-style restaurant with a wine cellar open on weekends and a souvenir store.
