A little west of the village of Rhoscolyn, there's a medieval well dedicated to St Gwenfaen, said to have healing powers! If you continue along the cliffs towards Trearddur Bay, between White Arch (Bwa Gwyn) and Black Arch (Bwa Du), you'll notice a stone engraved on the ground "Tyger Sep 17th 1819". It is in honor of a dog who saved a crew from shipwreck. After dragging the sailor and captain to the beach, the dog fell over dead from exhaustion...
