This medieval castle of the th century is less impressive than White Castle, perhaps due to its location: in the middle of a meadow, bordered by a single side. The large central watch tower is the only building inside the enclosure. The remains date back to Hubert de Burgh's work when he completely rebuilt the castle between 1219 and 1223.
