TELEGRAPH STATION MUSEUM
Telegraph station providing a historical reminder of Hamelin Pool (port for sheep farmers to send their wool)
Established in 1884, the telegraph station offers a historical reminder of the place. In addition to communications, Hamelin Pool was also the port where sheep farmers could send their wool. Although it is very isolated, you will be able to eat there and even find some souvenirs. The owners will show you the way to observe the famous stromatolites. There is a Caravan Park here, where you can camp. You can also stay nearby at the Outback Station stay, about ten minutes away by car.
