Church with a Callinet organ from 1836, two paintings, one representing Saint Sebastian, the other the Virgin, and a keystone
The distance from Didenheim, the original parish, prompted the construction of a church in Hochstatt at the end of the 16th century. In 1626, the parish was granted a resident vicar. 1731 heralded the parish's autonomy. The building soon proved too small. It was rebuilt in 1832. We invite you to discover its interior: a Callinet organ from 1836, two paintings (one depicting Saint Sebastian, the other the Virgin Mary) and a pink sandstone keystone from the former church bearing a sculpture of the Paschal Lamb.
