Punakaiki Canoes is one of the hidden gems of the coast. The family-owned business offers kayak tours in the heart of Paparoa National Park, one kilometer north of the Pancake Rocks in Punakaiki. This stretch of the West Coast is beautiful, with rivers, beaches and limestone gorges. The company offers unique canoeing experiences on the winding Pororari River, surrounded by lush subtropical forests. Beginners and experienced kayakers alike are welcome. Trips can range from one hour to a full day.
