This Mount Nemrut (not the one near Adıyaman), where King Nemrut spent his summers, is a 1,400-year-old extinct volcano, located 15 km from Tatvan. The first eruptions gave rise to five lakes fed by melting snow. Accessible in the spring, the crater is now home to three lakes: a small brown-red, a medium green, partly fed by a hot spring, and a large blue crystal. You can camp, fish, have a BBQ. Take warm clothes.
