Maison de la forêt, located in the heart of the future Entre Champagne et Bourgogne National Forest Park in Leuglay.
This first "Maison du Parc National" is located on the banks of the Ource river in Leuglay, in the heart of the National Forest Park. An interpretation center, it enables visitors to discover and promote the forest heritage of the Châtillonnais region, while raising public awareness of the environment and the wood industry. You can discover the forest through tactile, olfactory and auditory experiences. Since September 2022, the Maison du Parc has been embellished and opened the Centre d'interprétation de la truffe de Bourgogne, an initiative of the Association de la Truffe Côte d'Orienne in collaboration with the Parc national de forêts. This Tuber Uncinatum, an inseparable resident of the local forest, reveals its secrets, its history, its biological and even sexual life, its preciousness and, last but not least, how it can be tasted. The Maison de la Forêt association organizes numerous outdoor activities, including walks, orchid outings and tree climbing. You can also discover mushrooms or wild berries, and why not familiarize yourself with animal tracks and deer bellowing. Learn to recognize bird songs and discover their way of life thanks to a multimedia system on loan to you. And for the more adventurous, the Maison de la Forêt offers treasure hunts. Planted in 2013 and 2014, the pilot truffle plantation and arboretum are growing and can be visited freely just opposite the parking lot.
