HAWAIIAN RAILWAY
Train by the NGO Hawaiian Railway Society to bring the late 19th to early 20th century era to life for visitors.
From the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th, the transportation of people from one point of the island to another and of sugar from the plantations was done by train. The NGO Hawaiian Railway Society has restored one of them and invites you to come aboard. Every weekend, a guided tour of 1.5 hours brings this era to life for visitors. Very few departures: Wednesdays at 1pm, Saturdays at 12pm and 3pm, and Sundays at 1pm and 3pm. To come: a museum with testimonies, archives and objects and reconstructions related to the railway history of the archipelago.
