Kula Mana Farms
A macadamia nut and coffee farm, established in 1919 by a Japanese family
Originally from Washington DC, Patrick moved from the mainland to the slopes of Mauna Loa to take over Kula Mana Farm. Established in 1919 by a Japanese family, this macadamia nut and coffee farm follows permaculture principles and runs on the warmth of the sun and the energy of the international volunteers who stay there. The visit is free (donations welcome) and very interesting. Patrick will be happy to reveal the secrets of the hoshidana, the sliding roof and guide you around the property.
