MANUKA STATE WAYSIDE
A 3-hectare park with 48 species of plants endemic to Hawaii and a hundred more from all over the Pacific
Designed in the 1930s, this 3 hectare park is home to 48 species of plants endemic to Hawaii and a hundred others from all over the Pacific. It is by following the marked trail "Manuka Loop Trail", 3 km long, that one discovers this prodigious nature. It is advisable to wear proper hiking boots as the terrain is rough and slippery in places. There is a picnic area where you can have lunch in the open air. Don't forget the anti-mosquito spray, these insects being voracious in the park!
