The caves of Kula Kai are in fact tunnels formed by hardened lava, more than a thousand years ago! It is an amazing geological curiosity, to discover absolutely. Claustrophobic people should not go there. The experienced guides of Kula Kai know this underground labyrinth like the back of their hand (phew!) and will be able to explain you the smallest meanders. The caves are on private property, so an access code will be given to you when you make your reservation to enter through the gate. The adventure package includes the loan of helmet, gloves and knee protectors.
