To the east of the village, the church contains, in the choir of its nave, an altarpiece of rare value classified as a historical monument since 1841. A major pictorial work in the Rhine basin, it is the only painted triptych in Alsace that is not kept in a museum. Built in the 15th century by Martin Schongauer's school, it represents, over several metres wide, a remarkable crucifixion and has always been the focal point of the artistic world.
