Olot's Main Theatre offers a programme that runs from September to June, with theatre, dance, music and circus on the programme. Cultural festivals are also organised, from time to time, on the occasion of special cycles. The superb building that can be seen today dates from 1887 and was rebuilt on a 1842 structure that was destroyed in a fire. A theatre already existed on this site in 1769.
