ARCHAEOLOGICAL AND ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM
Set in an former renovated farmhouse, the Mâlain Museum offers its archeological wonders as well as important ethnographic, geological and mineralogical collections spread in eleven rooms. Each space illustrates the rich natural and human history of the region. Much is devoted to the site of Mediolanum and offers a selection of discoveries resulting from excavations. The rich furniture testifies to the prosperity of the era: set of statuettes, exceptional sculptures, Gallo-Roman ceramics, handicraft objects and various tools. The museum evolves regularly since it offers temporary exhibitions linked of course to the cultural theme of the region. The Museum de Mâlain was created from the will of the Archeological Group of Mesmontois (GAM) to share and revive an exceptional as well as enriching historic and natural heritage.
