This youth hostel is located in a renovated old farmhouse, 1 km from the road 1 between Hvammstangi and Staðarskáli. It offers all modern comforts, including a kitchen and a large dining room. It is a very picturesque place to rest after a long drive, and you can also enjoy an outdoor hot tub with a view of Hrútafjörður. Beware, the nearest grocery store is 15 km away, so bring provisions, although the hostel manager can help you out. There is a campsite and a small local museum next door.
