Conceived by the priest architect and artist Jesuíno do Monte Carmelo, this church is a reference in the field of sacred art in Brazil. It was inaugurated in 1819. The grave of the Madre Maria Theodora Voiron, of French origin and whose beatification is in progress, is found in this church. It's an imposing monument with its palm tree.
