The best restaurant in Tarrafal.
This restaurant, which has become a real institution since 2006, is open only in the evening and offers a wide choice of pizzas cooked to perfection over a wood fire. The setting is nice and takes the form of an interior patio that protects you from the wind. Certainly the menu is 100 % Italian cliché, but we let ourselves be taken in the game with pleasure: lasagnes, ravioli, pasta galore, the famous pasta pesto (vegetarian) and we keep a small place for the tiramisu. The Italian owner Francesco will know how to guide you to the best choice.

Opening time and information on ALTO MIRA
Open from Monday to Saturday from 5.30pm to 11pm. Closed on Sunday. Dishes between 500 and 1,000 CVE.
Owner's Message
We've been a restaurant-pizzeria in Tarrafal since 2006... here, you can choose between several starters, our pasta with fish, octopus, pesto and many others... but you can also eat excellent fish and fresh octopus from Tarrafal cooked over a wood fire... then you can choose between more than twenty pizzas and finish with our homemade desserts!

We were greeted with nice smiles, friendly manners and really enjoyable food, the best in Tarrafal. The owner seems to be Italian, he is also a waiter, a really charming person.
Make sure to come early or take a reservation, as there might even be a queue in the entrance to get you seated.
Absolute gem! If we come back, we'll surely be visiting.
