KHANGAÏ WALNUT NATIONAL PARK

A small natural park covering 591 km², much less visited than the one that shelters the White Lake. Much less interesting too! The mountain here is nonetheless sacred to the Mongols. It boasts numerous water springs, and is home to a number of high-altitude bird species, such as the Hodgson's sparrow. Birdwatchers will have a field day, but the national park remains difficult to access.
