This park houses three huge stone arches (or bridges) created by erosion; their small Hopi names: Kachina, Owachomo, and Sipapu (68 m long, 67 high, for example). Others in the surrounding area have collapsed. It is also one of the places in the United States where the night sky is least polluted by artificial light.
