Daxia Temple, also known as Dajia Zhenlan Temple (大甲鎮瀾宮), is an architectural gem dedicated to the goddess Mazu, protector of sailors. Built in the 18th century, it is one of the oldest and most venerated in the country. Every year, thousands of devotees take part in the Mazu procession, a major spiritual event.
