Daxia Temple, also known as Dajia Zhenlan Temple (大甲鎮瀾宮), is an architectural gem dedicated to the goddess Mazu, protector of sailors. Built in the 18th century, it is one of the oldest and most venerated in the country. Every year, thousands of devotees take part in the Mazu procession, a major spiritual event. The temple is distinguished by its elaborate carvings, richly decorated roofs and serene atmosphere. A place of prayer and celebration, Daxia Temple embodies Taiwan's rich cultural heritage.
