CANÒLICH SANCTUARY
Sanctuary overlooking the Lauredian mountains, with an Baroque altarpiece and pilgrimage site
Inside the sanctuary there is a Baroque altarpiece from the 18th century and ceramic murals by the local artist Sergi Mas. From the square in front of the sanctuary, there is a breathtaking view of the Lauredian mountains. It is the object of a pilgrimage at the end of May (the last Saturday of the month) during which the Lauredians walk up to it and spend a festive day with their families, neighbours and friends. They share grilled meat in the places provided for this purpose on the sides of the church.
