Tule Lake National Wildlife Refuge is a nature reserve located in Tulelake, California. Managed by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, it was established in 1928 and covers an area of 158.30 km2. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities, including hiking, wildlife observation and canoeing. The Klamath Basin Refuge Complex Visitor Center is a major point of interest, offering exhibits, educational programs and information on wildlife-watching opportunities. Dogs are allowed in the refuge, but must be kept on a leash. There is no entrance fee, but an annual recreation pass is required for hunting in certain parts of the refuge.
