The name of the hotel is inspired by a Nicobar tribe. Its 32 rooms offer all the modern comforts with thick mattress bedding, soft headboard and air conditioning. Some rooms have a small terrace. If you are familiar with India and its hotel industry, the Shompen is the equivalent of a classic 3-star for the country. Comfortable without any extravagance. Nice lounge restaurant on the roof terrace and another one in the garden. The rates are a bit high for the services offered, but the hotel is central.
