CITIAN TEMPLE
The main temple of Beipu. The details of its pillars and ceilings are of rare finesse. The small alleys around the temple are paved with flagstones, some of which are apparently poorly sealed and make a noise when walked on. It is in fact a ruse by the former inhabitants of the village, who, in order to be warned of the impromptu arrivals of strangers, or even invaders, have scattered these moving slabs all over the place. Still frequented by the Hakkas of the region, this temple offers a good insight into their spirituality.
