NALLATHANNIYA POLICE STATION
The police in Sri Lanka have a long history, dating back to the days of the Portuguese and the Dutch. Over the years, the role of the police has expanded to include crime prevention and detection, as well as the maintenance of public order. Today, there are 43 territorial divisions, 67 functional divisions and 432 police stations across the country, with a strength of over 84,000 officers. The Sri Lankan police are also implementing measures to enhance security, such as camera surveillance systems, automated fingerprint identification systems and crime scene analysis laboratories. The police work closely with the public to ensure the safety and well-being of all.
