HISTORICAL AND MILITARY MUSEUM
Museum with a collection of documents about the history of the fortress and the events of the Great Revolution
Huningue has always been an important crossing point on the Rhine. In 1679, Louis XIV had a fortress built here by the famous military architect Vauban. The museum gives an interesting account of this rich past: the old building houses a rich collection tracing the history of the fortress, and other documents bring to life the events of the Great Revolution, the garrison town and the industrial city, as well as the two world wars.
