HISTORICAL AND MILITARY MUSEUM OF HUNINGUE
Museum with fine collections tracing the city's strategic and military history, built in 1679
Built at the end of the 17th century for the intendance service and the fortifications department, the building houses beautiful collections retracing the strategic and military history of the town built from 1679 on the orders of Louis XIV. By entrusting Vauban with the design of this strategic bridgehead, the king made the village a real military lock for Alsace. The museum also tells the story of the three sieges between 1796 and 1815.
