MUSEUM AND CASTRO DE CHAO SAMARTIN
Museum with exhibition rooms housing more than 350 unique objects discovered during archaeological excavations
This museum, opened in 2007, is located on the site of the remains of a fortified village, inhabited since the Iron Age and transformed into an administrative capital by the Romans. It provides all the explanations concerning the valley and the history of its occupation. In its exhibition rooms, one can appreciate more than 350 singular objects, discovered during archaeological excavations. The visit of the ruins leads from the pits to the protective wall, from the acropolis to the houses... Very instructive.
