The village of Castelón is surrounded by a 4-meter high wall, ideal for walking around freely
Here are the remains of a fortified village, surrounded by a 4-metre high wall, probably one of the best preserved in the region. The village of Castelón, located on high ground and protected by a moat, is thought to have been occupied since the Iron Age, but what remains dates from the Roman period. Although the site has never been excavated, there are still some singular buildings, made of slate, with rounded corners. You can walk around freely and imagine how the Celts and then the Romans lived in their time.
