The oldest café in Antwerp with games in its premises.
This is Antwerp's oldest café, named after the Flemish primitive painter Quentin Metsys (1466-1530). The artist couldn't have sat here, however: the building was constructed in 1565 and has been a café ever since. Picturesque interior, with leaded glass windows and a few relics of the past, such as this 250-year-old coffee game, ancestor of today's "bingos"! Here you can drink local beers from the De Koninck brewery, as well as enjoy a typical, well-crafted meal.
