Just a stone's throw from the train station and the diamond district, this brand new hotel is an excellent compromise between practicality, design and budget (the prices are reasonable for Antwerp). The concept of this very high-tech hotel is self-service, whether for the bar or the check-in, but the staff is always present to guide you through the home automation. The rooms are sober and very comfortable and we love the very contemporary common areas as well as the interior courtyard. Smart tip: check their promotions on the website, they are regular.

While in our room, an unauthorized individual attempted to enter using a passcode mistakenly issued by the hotel staff. This alarming incident not only compromised our privacy but also posed a potential risk to our safety and belongings.
Upon addressing this serious concern with the reception staff, we were met with a lack of accountability and an absence of an apology. The situation worsened when our original passcode was deactivated without our knowledge, presumably during the staff's attempt to rectify their earlier mistake. Regrettably, even this was mishandled, as we were locked out of our room upon our return.
Our requests for assistance were further delayed by a staff member's preference to finish their meal before addressing our urgent need to regain access to our room. This is indicative of the broader attitude we encountered; many staff members appeared indifferent and unwelcoming, with one even prioritizing personal use of the gym facilities over guest service!
This experience has deeply undermined my trust in A stay’s commitment to guest security and service. I hope this feedback prompts a reevaluation of staff training and customer service protocols to ensure that future guests do not endure a similar ordeal.
