One of the oldest zoos in Europe, dating from 1843, with more than 5,000 animals including giraffes, monkeys, reptiles, insects

Founded in 1843, Antwerp Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in the world. A veritable urban oasis just a stone's throw from Antwerp's main railway station, it is home to over 5,000 animals from all over the world, representing 950 different species. Visitors can admire carefully recreated habitats such as the Savannah House and the impressive Valley of the Great Apes. The zoo is committed to the conservation of endangered species, such as the okapi and bonobo, and actively participates in breeding programs.

Un petit zoo avec une entrée de 25€ qui me semble cher par rapport à la visite. Les animaux ne disposent pas de beaucoup de place et sont assez peu nombreux par rapport à d'autres zoos comme celui d'Amnéville (France) ou le parc Pairi-Daiza.

Très beau parc attenant à un beau bâtiment ancien qu'est la gare d'Anvers. L'entrée semble un peu discrète mais dès que l'on a franchi la porte on change presque de région, ou même pays, tellement le cadre y est prenant.

Magnifique zoo. Bien qu'à "taille humaine", nous y avons passé avec plaisir toute la journée.
Je trouve que le prix est totalement justifié : bien que très ancien, il est parfaitement entretenu. C'est une vrai richesse que de disposer d'un tel endroit en plein centre-ville.

Je suis ravi d'avoir pu passer la journée au Zoo d'Anvers ! On comprend pourquoi c'est l'un des plus célèbres zoos d'Europe ! Aussi bien pour les petits que pour les grands :)

Très ancien c'est sûr mais pas du tout vieillot. Plus de 10 hectares pour admirer girafes, lions, hippo et d'autres bestioles moins spectaculaires mais tout aussi fascinantes.
