SAINT PAUL CHURCH (SINT PAULUSKERK)
Gothic church with a baroque spire and baroque sculptures, next to it is the 18th century Calvary Garden
The Gothic church of St. Paul, with its baroque spire, was built by order of the Dominicans. It was part of a large abbey. Some baroque sculptures as well as a collection of 17th century Flemish masters (Artus Quellinus Jr, J.-P. Van Baurscheit Sr, Rubens, Van Dyck, Jordaens...). Next to it is the Garden of Calvary dating from the 18th century, with 63 statues representing the last days of Christ, the apostles and prophets, in a very theatrical style.
