GUIETTE HOUSE
Rectangular retrofuturist house, work of the French architect Le Corbusier in Belgium, the owner is René Guiette
You can't miss this narrow retrofuturistic resctangular house. It is the only house built by Le Corbusier in Belgium, his first commission abroad in 1926. Obviously, the French architect of genius was not to the taste of the Antwerp people, nobody wanted to build next to the modernist house. The owner, René Guiette (1893-1976), who gave his name to the building, belonged to the Antwerp avant-garde movement. It's a pity it can't be visited because it is full of colour inside.
