The M HKA(Museum van Hedendaagse Kunst Antwerpen) is housed in a former grain market built in 1922. The museum's interest in art dates back to 1960, and it is a benchmark in the world of contemporary art. The building, with its 4,000 m² of exhibition space, boasts a fine permanent collection of works by Flemish and foreign artists. Temporary exhibitions are renewed three times a year. On the top floor, there's a café with a beautiful view of the city.

The Antwerp Museum of Contemporary Art, or M HKA, is the leading museum for contemporary visual arts and visual culture, internationally connected and at the forefront of innovation. It adds character to the south of the city. It's located in a lively arts district with studios, art galleries, friendly restaurants and the new Zuidpark. On site, you'll discover major exhibitions and intimate presentations by renowned artists and new talents. The artists offer films, performances and various discussions. You can also take part in creative workshops and tailor-made tours for families, adults and groups. You'll admire regional and international contemporary art, from the avant-garde of the 1960s to the present day. Major works include those by Gordon Matta-Clark, Panamarenko and Otobong Nkanga. Take advantage of your visit to browse art publications in the reading room and library. Enjoy the view of the Scheldt from the roof terrace of café M HKAFE, near works by James Turrell and Keith Haring. A must-see in Antwerp!
