Museum founded by Henriette Van den Bergh for her son's collection of Dutch art, paintings, sculptures, prints
The museum was founded in 1904 by Henriette Van den Bergh to house her son Fritz's art collection. It contains a veritable treasure trove of paintings, sculptures, stained glass, painted and sculpted altarpieces, offering a virtually complete panorama of the arts of the Old Netherlands. Among the collection's masterpieces: Margot the Mad by Pieter Brueghel the Elder. From April 2025, the museum will close for renovation, but its masterpieces will be on display at the nearby Maison des Vierges.
