This triangular park between Van Eycklei, Rubenslei and Quinten Matsijslei is a remnant of Fort Herentals, a 16th-century outpost of the city walls. It's frequented by a wide variety of Antwerpites: North Africans, Jews, joggers, white-collar workers, businessmen - a real melting pot! Not far from the bridge, which dates back to 1869, statues hide among the trees, as does a World War II bunker. Ideal for a quiet, green break.
